Breakfast: Coffee, Very Pink Shake

Lunch: Sauteed Tofu and Broccoli, 6 Grain Rice, Kimpira Gobo, My NG Vegan Brownie—Sauteed tofu and broccoli is seasoned with Better Than Bouillon. It’s cheating. It’s easy, quick, and tasty. 6 Grain Rice has Black Rice, Red Rice, Short Brown Rice, Barley Berries, Rye Berries, and Purple Barley. It’s chewy and has interesting taste, although it takes longer time to cook than white rice.

Dinner: Sauteed Tofu and Broccoli, 6 Grain Rice—lunch menu was repeated.

January 6th Menu

Breakfast: Coffee, Pumpernickel with Almond Butter, Strawberries, Banana, Pear

Lunch: 6 Grain Rice, Lotus Kimpira, Black Beans, Spinach, Miso Soup with Burdock Roots, Tofu and Satoimo (taro)—a nice Japanese lunch my friend whipped up after she discovered that I became a vegan. Yum. Her son said it’s too healthy. 🙂

Dinner: Mustard Leaf Dumplings, Sweet Brown Rice, Boiled Spinach—a nice dinner my husband whipped up. 🙂

Breakfast: Coffee, Cocoa-Raspberry-Strawberry Shake

Lunch at Soba Totto: Sawara Soba Lunch Special (soba, marinated and grilled fish, rice, green salad)—I know, I know, it’s totally cheating. But my friend treated me for celebration for Obama presidency. AND I’m taking cosamin supplements for joints, which are made of crabs, shrimps, and other seafood. Why not eat it instead of taking a pill?

Dinner: Japanese Dinner (Brown Rice, Spinach with Sesame Dressing, Kimpira Gobo, Samosa, Veggie Burger—maybe because I had a piece of fish for lunch, I was not hungry till late. Definitely my stomach has been changed how to process food.

Kampo Tea—this tea is prescribed just for me when I had a really bad cold last time. I think what I have is allergy, not cold, but the symptoms are very similar. I hope this would work for me. At least this tea gives me a restful sleep. I can’t have it during the day. It puts me asleep.
