Lunch: Japanese Yum Sandwich and Corn from Num Pang—oh, so satisfying. I don’t go there all the time because the line is outrageous. But today, there were only 3 people on line before me. It’s already holiday weekend and not many people were working in midtown.
Dinner: Kale Quinoa Salad, Simmered Sweet Potato, Toast, Beet Stew
Lunch: none!–what happened to that? I almost never skip any meal.
Dinner: Fresh Tomato-Basil Pasta, Eggplant Salad, Cornbread—where did my fabulous Cornbread recipe go? This batter looked drier than usual. I couldn’t find my original recipe until a few hours later this was baked. This version tastes fine, just bit drier. I’m putting my original cornbread recipe on the Recipe Page, so that I will never loose it.
Snack during the Open Studio Tour: Scone, Green Beans/Kale/Cucumber Salad, Pumpernickel—my friend’s friend, artist, was very nice and entertained us with snacks, which sadly I couldn’t eat: beef hotdogs, pork chop, and cheese. The only thing i could eat was this green salad.
Dinner: Baked Beans, Boiled Corn, Boiled Turnip and Daikon with Miso Sauce, Sauteed Turnip Greens—sadly this corn was not great although it just came from a farmer’s market only yesterday.
